They always say things were better back when I was a kid. That may be true about some things, but not when it comes to animated films. Before you get all bent out of shape, I love the old animated movies. Bambi and Dumbo are two of my favorites. And even though I do not have children there are a lot of animated films in my DVD collection.

The animated films of today are pleasing to both adults and children. I remember my husband saying you have to watch this movie called Shriek. I told him I was to busy to sit down and watch a kids film. I am glad I did. It was funny and amusing and I thought the second movie was just as clever. In that same vein, we have watched the Incredible’s and Monster, Inc several times as well. Remember we do not have children we just enjoy these movies.

This summer it looks like a new batch of animated films either have hit the theaters or will be making there arrival soon. Shriek the Third is still playing in theaters. It may not bee as good as the first two, but it still is entertaining and well worth seeing. Surfs Up is also in theaters. Once again a very good movie, and you have to just smile when the movie is about penguins.

The most anticipated animated film of the summer is Ratatouille. All the reviews so far have been incredible. It seems the unbelievable animation and brilliant storyline are a marriage made in animation heaven. I for one am looking forward to seeing this movie. What a great way to spend the afternoon, being transported to Paris where a rat tells a chef how to cook.

The latest animated film of the summer to be released will be The Simpson’s first ever movie. Now there are only two kind of people when it comes to the Simpson’s, either you love them or hate them. The movie will not be appropriate for young children; the TV show certainly is not. However, if you like the Simpson’s then it should be fun to see what kind of trouble Homer will fidn in 90 minutes rather than his normal 30 minutes of disaster.

As you can see, there are all kinds of animated movies and they really do keep getting better and better. So take some time out of your busy schedule to sit down a enjoy the animation brilliance of today’s films Written by Renee Corbett. classicmodernarts.com is a subsidiary of E Market Enterprise LLC Article Directory: http://www.articledashboard.com
